How to Add and Edit MKV Files to Final Cut Express?

Step 1: Download, install and launch Moyea MKV Converter for Mac.
Step 2: Add your MKV files, select output format and specify destination folder.
Click “Add” to load MKV files to this program, or just by dragging-and-dropping method. Then hit the drop-down list of “Format” to select a Final Cut Express workable format, like MOV, DV, MPEG-4, etc. MOV is the best choice for FCE. Step 4: Convert.
Once the former three steps have been finished, you can click “Convert” to start converting your MKV files to Final Cut Express compatible format.
